Verhaal van Utrecht
In 2024, we provided editorial support for Verhaal van Utrecht, the online platform dedicated to the history of Utrecht province, developed by Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht. Our role included assisting with the platform's rebranding and establishing a framework for ongoing content curation. Since then, we have been curating guest editors and producing the Verhaal van Utrecht podcast. Through this partnership, we help ensure that Utrecht's story is told through the diverse perspectives that enrich the province. (Photo by Allard Willemse)

The series is part of the Gebiedsbiografie met transformatiekader Museumkwartier Tilburg, in collaboration with Crimson, and aims to make visible the spatial and social dimensions of change in the neighbourhood.

In Hippo Staat een Huis
Commissioned by the Municipality of Hollands Kroon and developed by MAE Heritage in collaboration with de Kerkvernieuwers, this podcast brings the Hippolytuskerk in Hippolytushoef to life.
Through personal stories shared by volunteers and local residents, the podcast shows how the 400-year-old church has evolved from its dramatic collapse in the storm of 1674 to becoming a vibrant hub for music, art, and community life. Rather than treating the church as mere architecture, In Hippo Staat een Huis foregrounds its role as a living place of memory, celebration, and collective identity.

"We enjoyed working with MAE Heritage on our project to collect and document intangible heritage in Tilburg’s Museum Kwartier.
MAE combined professionalism and expertise with a pleasant and collaborative approach. They went the extra mile to make sure the outcome met our expectations and their knowledge of both audio production and heritage added real value to the project. We are very pleased with the podcast series that resulted from this collaboration.”

"Milou, Ashley, and Emma are fantastic podcast creators.
They made a few podcasts as part of the Heilige Huisjes Rotterdam festival and Placemaking Europe. These podcasts discuss the Eendrachtskapel. We were deeply impressed by how they let us talk in a very relaxed manner and then condensed the interviews with us, each of which lasted an hour, into 5-minute segments that really captured the essence of what we had to say. Kudos!”
Lineke Minkjan, member of Schola Eendrachtskapel

“Working with MAE Heritage was a delight.
Their personal comittment to telling insightful and interesting narratives was evident from our first meeting, as was their ability to bring these to life through different storytelling approaches and techniques. We are incredibly happy with the resulting 5-part podcast series and look forward to working with them again on future projects!”
Sander Ummelen, De Kervernieuwers
